"I fancy myself akin to the sea captains and traders of old. Rough along the edges, and out on the fringes doing the dirtier work, while the Boston financiers profit from it and further the efforts. Both parties share common ground and need each other in order to fully maximize their potential and profit. As for the embrace? What is done is done. If one dwelt on errors past they could not rectify, they would go insane."

She smiles.

"Good. Keep doing what you're doing, and I will keep you safe. I think that's fair."

"As you say my Lady." he said with a modest bow.

She laughs.

"Oh, go on you. Back to your work. I'll talk to the Prince tonight or tomorrow."

He smirked at that. "Thank you Miss Lowrey and have a pleasant evening."

She smiled.

"You as well."

He bowed his head slightly to her as he left, and starting whistling a jaunty old ragtime tune as he closed the door behind him.
