She chuckled.

"We all have our hobbies. Apple here has had enough exercise, but I can introduce you to Demon, if you like."

His brow shot up and he chuckled. "Sure. Though I warn ya, my knee-jerk was ta say I've had enough of demons for a time."

She chuckled.

"He was named when he was born. That was four years ago."

He laughed. "Got it. Them demons they were talkin' about in tha meetin' have been givin' me a bit of trouble."

She began turning Apple and leading the way back into the Stable.

"I can understand that. I don't think they are quite aware I'm out here."

He laughed softly. "Count yaself lucky, then. They won't leave me alone."

She gave a sympathetic look.

"Bad luck. Maybe they'll get tired of their games and move on."

He laughed. "I think they want tha girlie, ta be honest. More'n me, anyway."

"Well, then, she must be kept safe."

He winked. "That's tha plan."

She smiled as they walked into the stable. There, she passed Apple off to a stable hand with a smile and a kind word.

"I do hope that she will be safe."

He laughed. "Me too. So far, she's pretty good at tellin' 'em to bugger off."

She nodded and led the way down the passage.

"Good. I hope she keeps it up."

He winked at the Ventrue. "I got faith in her." Which was probably not the wisest thing to say when you were talking about demons, but eh? Like he ever cared about appropriate.

She laughs.

"Good."

As they come up to a stall that is surrounded by empty ones, he hears a crash from the stall, then a large roan peers over the door, and whinnies when he sees Christine.

"Good evening Demon, I hope you are well."

He glanced around the stables, then looked to his hostess. "Okay ta be all natural in here?"

She smiles.

"My entire staff knows what I am, and will die with that secret."

He smiled and gave her a nod. But when he next spoke, it wasn't to the Ventrue. He held out his hand for the animal to smell.

Hi there. My name is Jim.

Christine watched with a smile. Demon snorted and pawed at the ground, but didn't try to bite his hand.

He reached out to run his hand over the animal's nose. And gave the horse a smile.

Not entirely sure of the situation, the horse none the less arched under his hand.

He turned to look at the Ventrue. "He's beautiful."

She smiled.

"He's my pride and joy. I have considered, for the first time, bonding him to ghoul hood to keep him with me always."

He laughed. "It ain't a bad plan. I gotta couple dogs that I keep as ghouls."

She chuckles and reaches out to caress Demon's nose. Happiest horse ever when she touches him.

"I would love to meet them, some time."
