He nodded. "Definitely would. But I'd likely send word ahead that I'm comin' 'fore I come out here anyway."

She nodded.

"Probably smart."

He laughed. "I may not look it, ma'am, but I do have a few manners tucked away in here somewhere."

She smiled.

"Most cowboys do, I've found. More than some gentlemen."

He laughed. "Somehow, I find that easy ta believe."

She smiled.

"Of course you don't. Now, have I bribed you enough that I will see more of you?"

He laughed. "Ma'am, I'd be happy ta visit again. Providin' ya don't mind puttin' up with me."

She smiled.

"I find you refreshing. I am glad that I made the move here."

He laughed. "Aww, thanks."

She laughed.

"I think that there are depths to you that I will enjoy getting to know."

He laughed. "That could be dangerous talk, ma'am."

She raised an eyebrow.

"Oh?"

He smiled. "Yeah. I'm a hard person ta get ta know."

She chuckled.

"And how would that be dangerous?"

He laughed. "Most people that try do it when I'm naked. Apparently, they like me much better when I'm naked."

She laughed.

"I'm sure you're a pretty picture when naked, judging by how you look with clothes on. But I am not interested in that. I am more interested in getting to know you over a few beers and perhaps a poker table."

He laughed. "You'll have an easier time of it if ya take me for a beer an' ta see some good singin'. Just as a fair warnin'."

She chuckles.

"I think I can do that."

He grinned. "That's tha best way."

She nods.

"Then after your lady sings for me, I will go out to karaoke with you. It will be a new experience. I will have to bone up on modern songs."

"Depends on ya definition of 'modern.' I ain't big on anything from tha last twenty years or so, really."

She laughed.

"And most of my favorite songs are from at least a century ago."

He laughed. "Ain't nothin' wrong with that."

She chuckled.

"No, but one can not sing those songs at Karaoke."

He looked thoughtful. "Ya might be surprised."
