It was soothing, the way his fingers ran through her feathers. Her ghetto-birdy-booty wiggled slightly as she settled comfortably in his arms.

The familiar house, the furniture not changed or moved since she had left before. He just slowly walked around the house with her in his arms, stopping in the kitchen for a moment. There were good memories there.

She really did love the brightly colored kitchen. It had always been the heart of her home growing up. She'd tried to make it the same here, even if it was just the two of them and the pups. It was enough.

She bonked her head against his chest. Silly bird.

He rubbed under her long neck, tapping a thick finger against her bill. "Ya gonna sleep like dat?" he didn't mind either way, it was just amusing at this point. He pulled out 'his' chair, the heavy duty one, and settled down, taking in the colors.

It was proof to how long he had not been there, how long they had not been there, as though he did indeed upkeep, he was never truly one skilled, or caring, about cleaning. There were cobwebs in the corners - the question of course was whether or not the spiders were called due to his presence, or just there by chance.

She shook her head, her bill rubbing against his shoulder.

He closed his eyes, using his free hand to remove his hat and put it on the table. "Ah wouldn't mind, eithah way." then he went back to stroking her bill.

"Ah tink ya make ah beddah dove."

Far less ghetto-butt that way.

Her eyes closed as she began to relax. He wasn't upset with her, that was all that mattered.

He could never be mad at her for long. He would continue to stroke her feathers, her beak for as long as she would let him. "Next, we gotta turn ya inna bear..."

She nodded softly. Bear. Big bear. Yes, she could be a bear.

"Hmm.. Kodak? Grizzy... nah. Brown bear, ah tink." as he pontificated on what bear would be the most fitting.

A soft *clack clack* of her bill next to his ear signaled her agreement.

"Ya tell meh when ya want tah... and we'll make it 'appen. Den we gotta find ya a Dolphin."

More clacking. She always wanted to be a dolphin.

Another deep chested chuckle, "Maybeh we should start ah list."

*clack clack warble clack*

"Now ya juss tryin'teh beh difficult." he was still amused.

The Ren-bird totally snickered.

"Ya do fit in ah pot in dis form." he teased.

She tried to capture his ear with a birdy-bite.

He didn't try to dodge, he just narrowed his eyes at the birdie Ren as his ear got nommed. "Dat tends to work beddah when ya got thumbs."

A soft warbling laugh forced her to release his ear.

He just reached over... to pluck a feather from her rump.

*clack clack wiggle squirm*

He laughed, using the feather to try to tickle her 'nose' atop her bill.

Her head wagged back and forth as she continued to clack and warble.
