Three days are up (Rosita) - Frederico's Haven

He walked up to the house and knocked at the door. It hadn't been a fun three days at all. In fact, they had been miserable. Ra'idah surrounded herself with whatever she could to not be alone and treated him as if he was already gone, and nothing he could do would change her mind.

So here he stood, at the door, waiting for his sister to answer so he could answer her.

She answered the door with a smirk tugging at her lips.

"Well, hello, my darling brother."

He smiled back at her. Not that he felt like it but he wasnt going to give her the satisfaction.

"Hello sister. I hope the evening is treating you well."

Her chin came up just a bit, the playful smile teasing around her lips.

"Oh, I can't complain. And you? How does the evening find you, brother?"

He sighed.

"Worried for the woman i love but other than that, I am fine. As much as I would like to say this is just a pleasant family visit, it is not. I promised to come to tell you about my decision."

She still hadn't invited him inside. Her brow quirked upward and the smirk tugged at her lips once again.

"Oh? Do tell, brother. What is your decision?"

He noticed. He smiled at her, so refined and in control

"I decided anything that makes my family happy, makes me happy. If you and father think this is the right thing to do, then let's do this."

Oh look. He was happy. really.

She laughed, seeming to be delighted by his answer.

"Oh, good! Then I will prepare and send for you when I am ready."

Yes, she had just dismissed him ... again.

He raised an eyebrow.

"Is that how you treat family? Ordering them around and dismissing them? Why sister I am crushed. Really sister, I am shocked."

And yet, he didn't look shocked.

She laughed, but it sounded delighted.

"No, darling brother. Had you been anyone else, I'd have already been in the middle of ravishing you."

He smiled, so much humor coming out in that smile.

"I am crushed. So you do not find me worthy of being ravished? Should I bring several good books so I will not be bored?"

Her lips were all smiles and bright grins.

"Quite the opposite. But if memory serves, you'd not particularly like to be ravished by me. And Father would never forgive me if I attempted to force you."

That was the damned truth.

He laughed.

"Sister, I have no personal problem with your attentions at all. In fact I rather enjoyed your tight and enthusiastic affections. Maybe I will tell you more if I feel you wont use it against me..."

And that was also the truth.

She laughed and gave him a pretty little tilt of her head.

"Why, I'm touched, darling brother. But you should know by now that I'd never hold a grudge against you, unless you deserved it."

Really. She'd be over it in days. With Toreador, they did tend to have short attention spans, if it was anything but their art. And she was blood bound to Frederico, so it wasn't as if she'd be happy to be away from him for too long. Probably.

He laughed at that.

"Ah, but I have sensed there is more between you and me than the normal grudge. From the first time you launched your dreaded finger into my face to seeing you here again ordering me around. I do believe we have a true sibling rivalry going here. Or am I completely wrong?"

She gave him another pretty tilt of her head and smile.

"It doesn't have to be so. We shall see in the nights to come, no?"

He laughed.

"One way to avoid it is to stop ordering me round quite so much. And dismissing me. But I guess we will see."

He moved forward and gave his sister a kiss to each each, very European, only to be followed to a very American slap to her rear as he turned and made his way out the door.

"I trust you will not keep me waiting too long, dear sister."

She laughed as he kissed her cheeks, a delighted little squeal coming from her as he smacked her rear. Then, she giggled.

"A man must always know his place, brother. I'll see you soon, I'm sure."
