Planning and Plotting - Gilded Cage

He laughed and gave her rump a playful swat. "Ya know ya get ta call any time ya want. If I'm busy I'll say so."

"So this my current hair brained scheme." with a smile at him.

He laughed softly. "Ain't hair-brained unless ya do somethin' really silly."

She kisses him "Well if my nerves stay calm then it should be ok right?"

He couldn't help but grin. "I can give one of tha boys a valium an' let ya get nice an' calm 'fore ya do it, if ya want."

"May need to do that." with a soft chuckle and hug.

He smiled. "I'll let ya decide on that."

She smiles at him "What I don't do performace well if planned and yes I did it to myself but I need to get over this fear right?"

He nodded. "Ya really do. Though I gotta say, I didn't notice ya havin' any problems with stage fright the times I've taken ya out ta sing."

"It's you and me, plus those that arent' going to be judging me against a diva they've heard uneartly bring them to their knees." with a shy smile.

He ran a hand through her hair. "Ya gonna need me ta stand by ya when ya do this? Maybe play a little drums or somethin'?"

'If you want to...." looking sheepish at him.

He shook his head. "Ain't about what I want. It's about what ya need."

"I don't know yet......." biting her lower lip.

He patted her thigh. Pulling her more comfortably on his lap. "Ya ain't gotta decide nothin' right now. It's an option for ya. That's all ya need ta know."

"I know" cuddling into him "just trying to figure it all out."

His hand ran gently over her back. "As long as ya know."

"Let's start with your place, I"ll practice alot and go from there." with a content sigh curled into him.

He brushed his hand over her hair. "All right."

"Just trying to not make it so negative that I can't do it with an audience as I expect." looking at him whiel strying to make herself believe her own words.

He smiled. "It's a party, darlin'. Ain't nothin' negative 'bout a party."

"Yes and lots of critical perfectionist kindred in teh room." with a sigh.

He shook his head. "Hush. Ya ain't doin' it for them. You're doin' it for you."

"But what I do for me is just play for me or you or a few others. I just wanted to do something nice for Charlie, meet new people and try to be social." with a shy smile at him.

He smiled. "Still sounds like you're doin' it for you."
