Planning and Plotting - Gilded Cage

She had put tape again on the door locks, trying on the new dress and waiting for him to arrive.

He knocked on her door about fifteen minutes after she called.

She went over pulled open the door ( he can see the tape that makes the locks not work), a hug and tip toe kiss "Thank you!" a happy bounce to her.

He returned her kiss with a laugh. "For what? I ain't done anythin' yet."

"You came when I asked." with a smile at him "So what do you think? Too much?" doing a quick twirl in the dress.

He smiled at her. The way she smiled was so sweet. "I'll always come when ya call, if I can. An' again, depends on tha kinda party it is. But for what it's worth, ya look absolutely beautiful."

"Not to little girlish?" with a smile at him "Well one day you're going to choose not to come.' taking his hand and hugging him again. "And then I'll be very very sad..."

He hugged her, then smiled at her. "No, not too little girlish. An' I'll try not ta make ya sad."

"Good cause I can harass you and you know it." with a giggle at him. Moving to the couch "So I need to find a place to perform, and if you can be there you will right?" as she watches him carefully.

He blinked. "Absolutely. Wouldn't miss that for tha world. What kinda place were ya thinkin' about performin' at?"

"I don't know but I was thinking like a club, with a piano, places where Cass can put her art and people can talk...." with a sigh "and you know the town better than I do." if he sits she sits on his lap.

He let her sit on his lap. Wrapped his arms around her waist. "Ya wanna use my hall for it?"

"I think that's a bit too formal." with a sad smile at him "And well I don't want to impose on you."

He shook his head. "Ain't imposin' on me. An' I can have tha boys set it up as informal as ya like, darlin'. Ya know that."

"I'd like that just as long as no one touches the piano bench, the piano and the office ..... " with a chuckle and bright smile at him. "But I am familiar with it and may cut down on my stage freezing."

He laughed. "That was my thought. An' I'll be there, too. Help ya be less nervous. When's this party gonna be an' who all's invited?"

"Well just starting the process, now there's a place but I don't know so many poeple so I wanted to meet those that arrived while I was gone and see some old faces." kissing him "But Charlie and I started to talk, then Cass is adding art and I'm starting to feel it slipping out of control." with a smile at him.

He laughed. "I got a little girlie ghoul who might be able ta help ya if ya want."

"No I've got to do this by myself, I've not do that in a long time but if I get truly over whelmed I'll call for help." with a smile at him.

He smiled and kissed her cheek. "Well, I'll help ya all that I can, darlin'."

"I know, but I need to stop being so passive." with a sigh.

He laughed. "Maybe. But ya ain't gotta go all out all at once."

"You think?" looking worriedly at him with a grin. "I am trying to be more involved in all areas, but I really miss you."

He laughed softly. "Ya ain't gotta miss me. Ya only need ta call me. I'll help ya if I can."

"My dear if I had it my way I'd call daily but I'm being a good stalker." with a chuckle at him and he can see the humor in her words and on her face.
