After hours... - Gilded Cage

She laughs "It's the whole lady part...." the rest she leaves unsaid.

He laughed. "I gathered that."

"Just different..." with a pause "Not bad just different." as the elevator dings at the right floor. "A lot is different at this time, not bad just not what I'm use to." stepping out, looking to him for where his Jeep is and smiles at him.

He headed toward his Jeep. Started pulling a mirror out of it. Smiled at her. "Well I didn't ever say I was normal darlin."

"I didn't say normal either." shaking her head "No word games please." heading back towards the elevator.

There was a bag of tools he strapped to his belt. The mirror went on his back. "Not playin word games. Ya said I'm different. I said I didn't say I wasn't."

"But no where did I say normal either." slowly taking in the tool belt, the mirror on his back, and she gave a soft whistle. "Will that fit in the elevator or should we head to the maintenance elevator?"

He smirked. "It'll fit. So long as ya don't mind gettin' all close an' cozy with me."

She smirkes back "Oh the horror." with a chuckle. Walking back towards the elevator, pushing the up button, and turns to watch him. A look of appreciation shows on her face, "Nice mirror." with another soft chuckle.

He snorted. "Better be much as it cost." He grinned. "Hope ya like it."

"Hey you wanted it...." then laughs "Yes it's very nice." as the door opens "You first or me?"

He nodded. "Go 'head. Hold tha door for me."

She enters, pressing the "open" button, waiting for him to get in with the mirror.

It took some maneuvering. But he got it into the elevator. Then leaned it back against the wall. "Glad I don't get tired anymore."

"So am I." with a nod at him, pushing her floor button, and leaning over on her tip toes kissing his cheek. "Thank you."

He grinned. Kissed her gently. "You're welcome."

Gently touching his face, she nuzzles his nose, and leans back looking at him "You didn't need to spend a lot on it."

His brow arched quizzically. "Ya thought I'd get ya somethin' shoddy?"

"Why do you do that?" looking at him.

He gave her a blank stare. "Do what?"

"I didn't say you'd get something shoddy, I just said you didn't need to go out as much as you have." watching him carefully.

He tilted his head. Stared at her again. Shook his head. "Darlin ya gonna haveta get used ta me spoilin' the hell outta ya."

"You don't have too" she says smoothly. Tucking a wet strand behind her ear, a momentarily frown, and then focusing back on him "I think that's going to be hard for me to get use to."

He frowned. Reached up. Brushed a finger over her cheek. "An' what if I just wanna?"

"Then be ready for me to buck at first, then let you do so." with a natural smile at him.
