A difficult discussion (Jim) - Henri's Penthouse

He nodded. Then he pulled out his phone. "I'll get right on that."

She nodded and sat back to try to enjoy her wine.

He hung up the phone with a smile. "She's all nervous. But she'll be here."

She smiled.

"What has she to be nervous about?"

He shrugged a shoulder. "Beats tha hell outta me."

She chuckled.

"Well, we'll see how she feels when she gets here."

He took a sip of wine. "Yeah. I ain't exactly lookin' forward ta tellin' her this."

Henri nodded.

"You want me to do all the talking?"

He smiled but shook his head. "I've got a good rapport with her. I also ain't afraid for her ta be angry with me."

She nodded and finished her wine.

"I somehow doubt she's going to be angry with either of us."

He shook his head. "I started this. It's my fault."

She shook her head.

"Non. This is about Sam and his stupidity. It may have been our decision that brought about her kidnapping, but it was Sam's choice to spread word of it to outsiders."

It wasn't long before there was a knock on the door.

The door opened to her knock, and Henri called from the livingroom.

"In here, Ren. Beer, wine, or other?"

"Nothing for the moment, thank you." She made her way into the living room, doing her usual scan for doors, windows and hidden folk thing. Totally a habit.

He looked up from his glass of wine. "Hi sweetheart. Thanks for comin'."

Henri motioned for Ren to make herself comfortable.

"Oui, thank you."

Ren found a chair and slipped into it. She waited for them to tell her what was going on.

He glanced at Henrietta. Then he looked over at Ren. "Honey Sam's tellin' everybody an' their mama that Himmler kidnapped ya. He's told pretty much tha whole damned Gangrel Clan here." He softened that blow so well.

There was a very very long pause. "Come again." Flat neutral.

Henrietta rolled her eyes at Jim's smooth talking, and took over.

"Sam has been in his store, calling everyone and their mother, including most of the Gangrel and Greer, and telling them that you were kidnapped by Himmler, and it's all his fault."

He gave Henrietta a 'what?!' look. Then he turned to Ren again. "Got a call from Raz0r, who has the security setup in his shop. She called me, I called Henri an' tha both of us called ya."

She blinked several times. "I need to hit something."

He looked around. Rolled his shoulders. Then stood in front of her. "Go 'head."

Henrietta rolled her eyes again.

"Everything in this apartment, including that wall right there, is replaceable. Or you can hit Jim."
