Security (open) - Darius and Crew

He led the much-smaller woman into his house, calling out for the ghouls as he did.

"Elizabeth! Savannah!"

The Sheriff, dressed in black, didn't say a word. Not until they were inside.

She heard the steps of someone else, and arrived on her feet, brushing her hands on her jeans. When she saw who it was, she paused.

"Can I get you anything?"

He smiled.

"Elizabeth, would you be a dear and get the Sheriff a glass of wine? We need to sit down and have a talk."

She nodded and turned to Ra'idah, eyes down.

"Red or white, ma'am?"

Her eyes narrowed again -- she just couldn't catch a break tonight.

"White, please."

She nodded and moved to the kitchen, where she could be heard getting glasses and uncorking a bottle. She came back after a few minutes with four glasses. And she poured the wine right in front of them.

He smiled and gestured for the redhead to take a seat.

"Sheriff, please, sit. Tell me how I can be of service to you."

She took the glass of wine with a smile and a nod to Bethy.

"I want you to let him go."

She knelt against the wall, ready to pour again should she be required. And she carefully kept the curiosity off her face.

He had no such qualms.

"Let him go? Whatever do you mean, Sheriff?"

She sat the glass of wine down on the table in front of her, then looked up and met the green eyes that were so bright and intense.

"Estaban. I want you to end whatever you did to him. I want it to stop. Let him go."

He tilted his head, looking thoughtful. And leaned back in his seat, glass of wine in his right hand.

"Sheriff, I assure you that I have no idea what you're talking about. I have done nothing to dear Estaban that he did not ask for."

Cue the charming smile.

She looked up at that, watching them.

She winced, but she shook her head.

"Stop playing games with me, Darius. Please. I'm not asking for much."

"But you are asking me for something that I cannot do. I have done nothing at all that Estaban has not asked me to do and I can't reverse that."

His lips twitched into a smile.

"Life, especially unlife, is a game, Sheriff. Your problem is that you should get more fun out of it."

Her head tilted to the side as she watched, and she began to creep forward. Then she gasped lightly.

"Lady, he doesn't lie. Please, believe him."

She stared at the both of them for at least thirty seconds.

"Just tell me what you want," she said with a frown.

He smiled, taking a sip from the glass of wine in his hand.

"Darling Sheriff, if I told you, it wouldn't be nearly as fun to watch you."

She crawled to Darius' feet and held out a hand to the Sheriff.

"Lady, join us."

She stared at Bethy for a moment. For some reason, she got the impression that the brunette didn't mean to join them on the sofa. She got the impression that there was probably more to it than that.

She shook her head.

"I can't join you if I don't know what I'm joining."

He smiled.

"It's rather simple, Sheriff. Join us, come here and stay with us. We will take care of you."

She smiled.

"Yes. Bethy will take every care of the Lady."

She shook her head.

"No."

He smiled.

"Then the game continues. And the offer stands."
