She nodded.

"Very. And how is Chet taking it?"

"Poorly, of course, but he could be taking it a lot worse and doing something stupid about it. He didn't want to talk at the party and had to excuse himself."

"What kind of person comes to a city and first thing he does is steal someone else's ghoul?"

She shrugged.

"It depends upon the ghoul, I guess."

"Maybe, so I'm having an interview with the ghoul thanks to Estaban, so we shall see."

"Another interesting thing, the very same night Eve killed Grant, Casimir, her childe came to my office and gave all of my work back to me. He recognized my maker's mark and sought me out to return them to their 'rightful owner'. Can you believe that?"

She laughed.

"I think I can, actually."

"So! He's another new person to look out for. He's HUGE. 8 feet tall, easily. But a compelte gentleman."

She nodded.

"Interesting. Good to know."

"And that's all the news I have to share for now." Areron pocketed the key and hopped up.

She smiled.

"That is plenty. Now, is there anything else that I can help you with? Perhaps getting some things into this room for you to wear? A personal touch?"

"Getting some changes of cloths here would be good. I'll likely use this place after any not-so-nice activities." She winked.

"But otherwise, I don't require much in my haven other than peace and quiet."

She smiled.

"I only ask that you clean up after yourself. And peace and quiet will only ever be broken around here by the ghosts. They tend to hang out here since I gave them refuge after the Carnival came to town."

"Yes, I've been taught well to keep my trouble making clean." She promised.

"Ghosts? I can't see them unless I look really hard. Are they... like nice?"

She nodded.

"You'll feel them more than see them. But they like to try to be helpful."

"Why are they ghosts and not, err, 'moved on'?"

She shrugged.

"They still have things to do, I guess."

"Alright, well I don't mind." Areron smiled. Strange, but interesting.

She chuckled.

"Oui. So, let's show you where the shower is. And where the bottled blood is."

"Sure!" She followed Henrietta.

The bathroom was just down the hall, huge and fully tiled. The shower itself had 6 nozzles.

"There should be everything you need in here. For cleaning up mundane dirt to blood."

"Perfect. Killing people can be so messy." Areron wrinkled her nose. She didn't like the messy part.

She nodded.

"And while I find that part fun, it's a bitch to clean up afterwards."

"Yes, whatever you're wearing is going to have to be burned. You just have to live with that." Areron shrugged, it couldn't be helped!

"It's a shame I have to lay low for a while. I was sure getting on a roll."

She put a hand on her shoulder.

"This is not something that needs to stop. Simply, become less active."

"Or pick off less important people. Less visible." Areron nodded.

"I just feel like Alex and Teddy were too visible and one right after the other."

She nodded.

"Probably."
