She led him to secluded area that was close enough to still here the fire, but was out of view.

"Here, we can talk."

He sat down and smiled. "Kindred do not have a pleasing effect around your kind do they?"

She settled next to him, though she seemed content to talk for now. Her legs folded strangely under her, but that was to be expected, as they were not human ones.

"No, you do not. You are static, unchanging. That is the opposite of what we are."

She tucked her hair behind her ear, her eyes on his face.

"It is true, we are largely physically unchanging, but mentally many of us change and grow, using eternity to increase our knowledge and challenge our thinking."

She nodded.

"But most do not. And thus, you are banal, and antithesis to our existence."

He chuckled

"My sect is different. We believe in the independence of the individual, and live lives of various form of anarchy. We are fluid, constantly changing, moving about. Our very lifestyle and beliefs demand we adapt, or die."

She grimaced.

"Or so you think. This would have to be tested on a night other than this one."

"Pick a night. Bring any you wish for your own sense of security, and we will test it. My sect is different, and as a mortal I was raised in a nation different than most of the world at that time. We believed in great personal liberty, and scientific achievement. Knowledge was power, and mortal man was doing great things. Those who adapted advanced."

She brought a lock of her to her mouth and began to chew on it. Now John could see the tiny horns peeking out of her skull.

"Okay. But you wanted to ask questions. So ask."

"So many, and so few. Tell me about your people, and also, I promise you I will not bite or feed from you unless you desire it."

At that, she leaned in, draping herself across his chest.

"Oh, lovely, you may do whatever you wish with me. And as for my people, first let me ask how much you know of Pan from Greek Myth."

"A little. Half man, half goat. Played the flute, liked to party in the forest?"

"Us Satyr's, we embody all of that. A love for life, a deep seated sexuality, and a passion for all things."

She moved to straddle him.

She leaned in close and kissed his neck, grinding against his lap.

"Not if you don't hurt me in the bad way."

He kissed her forhead and smiled "I hurt none who have not hurt me. I should tell you, I no longer practice intercourse... But " he said breathlessly "I have something better"

She pouted slightly. But nodded. She was a simple, sexual creature.

"I will take all that you care to give me. Even as it draws blood from places other than your fangs."

Johnathon buried his fangs into her neck and drank lightly of her blood

She couldn't help it. She ground her hips against him as the pleasure coursed through her, holding him tight. And as her blood hit his system, his world grew brighter. There was more in the world now, and he could feel it. It was going to be hard to let go of her and stop drinking.

He drank a bit more, and forced himself through sheer willpower to stop. He withdrew his fangs and healed the wounds and gasped "you are dangerous"

She grinned into his face.

And then she kissed him. Deeply.

He returned the kiss "mmm yes "
