The ventrue cruised up the backroads on his Ural side car motorcyle. Unless the cammies did another land grab, he was in unclaimed territory as far as he knew.

Oh, he was. But that didn't stop her from being out here. She stepped up to the side of the road, catching in his lights.

He pulled over and pushed his goggles up while gesturing to the empty side car. "Care for a ride Priestess ? Mind the shotgun. How are you tonight ?"

She smiled.

"It be dangerous out here, boyo."

"Yup. Hence the scattergun. And I got warlock made slugs in the 45, and I'll take my chances on the rest. Dangerous when I came through the first time too. "

She looked down the road.

"Where ye headed?"

"Talahassee " he said with a grin. "Consider it my claim unless you plan to stop me "

She shrugged.

"Nay, laddie. Dinna plan t' stop ye. But ye keep th' Silver handy. But dinna shoot 'less ye be attacked. There be a pack 'round here tha' I'll skin ye for hurting."

"Silver and iron in the pistol. I won't shoot first, but do they know I'm harmless to them then ?"

She nods.

"The Pack be knowin' tha' ye be off limits. Th' one tha' attack ye be th' ones ye need t' be shootin'."

He nodded. "So what makes you happy if I move in this area ? Share intelligence ?"

She blinked.

"Keep ye're buddies 'way from makin' trouble at me borders. Tha' be all th' help I need."

"I will. So what brings you so far up here ?"

She laughed.

"I am Scourge. Th' borders be me business."

"These aren't your borders though " he smiled. "But of course your threats may come from here. If I wind up settling Leon County as I plan though, I trust you will tell me of any problems heading my way, and I will do all I can to keep the peace as well, and tell you of any sabbat or the like I find. "

She nodded.

"O' course. I would nay feed ye t' th' wolves."

"I would ask you keep someone in Jacksonville. It is vulnerable and a good toehold to the rest of the state. And more importantly, I don't like fat plums that empty so close to my own low hanging fruit. "

She tilted her head to the side.

"I will take tha' int' consideration, laddie."

"When was the last time you rode in one of these contraptions? Ride and talk, night is burning, and if you would scout with me, I would be honored "

Then she stepped into the side car.

He pointed out a half helmet and pair of goggles "state law requires a helmet. " readjusting his own safety equipment, he roared down the road once the ancient was ready. "A marvelous invention" he said loud enough to be heard. "Much improved since their inception "
