A follow up ride (Christine) - Lowrey Manor

She nods.

"Then I can give you one of my younger girls. This way."

She followed her to the horse she was going to give her to ride.

She was brought to a lovely little thing, a smaller Roan with a sweet temperament.

"This is Rose."

Greer's face lit up, 'Oh hello there Rose, aren't you a beauty." with a slow hand towards the beast.

The horse's nose came over the stall door, nose questing.

She held her hand out to the horse softly talking to her "oh aren't you pretty."

Christine slipped up to her side.

"Just breathe on her. She'll take you anywhere."

Greer did what Christine told her to do, she breathed on the horse and gently went to pet her.

The horse was friendly. And seemed to take her cue from Christine that Greer was to be handled gently.

"You remember how to get all the gear on her?"

"Yes you may wish to double check me though when I am done." with a smile as she smoothly moved in to start saddling the horse.

She watched, only having to correct her once or twice.

"Good."

Greer petted her horse again before leading her out, for their ride, and looked to Christine. "She is quiet lovely and amazing disposition."

She smiled.

"If you get along, she's yours when you come to ride."

She vaulted to Demon's back once they were outside. No, she wasn't using a saddle. And yes, the horse was waiting for her.

Greer stepped up into the saddle and started heading out with her ride, but not trying to keep up with Christine if she was ridding full out.

Christine and Demon both seemed content to just lead Greer and Rose through the easier trails, testing them.

As it came back to her, Greer's confidence increased and she let the horse pick up her pace till she was happy on the trail.

After the first twenty minutes or so, Demon picks up the pace, Rose following, if Greer will let her.

Greer lets her easily pick up her pace, feeling at ease on her at this time, and enjoying the ride.

She doesn't try to talk. Just keeps silent company as they ride.

Greer keeps up, enjoying the ride and actually the silence. As they hit an area the horse seems to open up and run, she doesn't realize it but she's humming softly as they ride.

And she doesn't point it out. She just listens as she moves as one with Demon, a smile on her face.

Relaxing, enjoying the closeness, the speed and the trust of the animal she is riding. Her voice softly starting to ring out in a soft merry tune, with no words just a random aria, as she enjoys the ride.

She was at peace. Truly at peace. And it showed.
