"And most likely beating. And I couldn't stand it if you got in trouble over me" Teddy said softly, the arm around his waist giving him a light squeeze. "I can't stand the thought of you getting hurt because of me, in any way. So I am very glad, and grateful, that he is the kind of man that he is"

He looked over at her, reaching up to brush a hand through her hair. "I'm glad you seem to like him. He seems to like you, too."

That feeling? Of his hand running through her hair? Had her closing her eyes and drawing her breath.

"I like you more though" she chuckled as she looked up at him. "I just... you know I don't want to get between you and your family, right?"

He smiled at her, nodding in answer. "I know that, Teddy. Honestly, I'd rather just have you be a part of the family. It's a big enough family; nobody will notice one more." He grinned, chuckling lightly. "Besides, that would solve most problems. Except with Nadine. Hmm. I should probably warn you about Nadine."

"Nadine?" she tilted her head to the side. "Why would I need a warning about Nadine?" the Caitiff smiled curiously.

He smiled at her, gently. "I'm not sure that she fully understands that what she and I do occasionally -- or used to do, at this point -- was just what it was. Nothing any more serious than it should be."

"Oh..." heh, she suddenly looked guilty, as if she'd done something wrong. "I... " the blond chewed on her lip and looked at her feet. "You know I meant it when I said I wouldn't limit you..." which meant she could still be okay if he wanted to be with someone else as well. Or, kind of alright anyways.

He started to laugh again. "Not like that, Teddy. I haven't been with her in months. Since before I even met you." He leaned over to kiss her forehead. "But you know, girls are weird."

She sighed in relief even if she wasn't aware of it herself.
"Yeah, we can be a bit strange" she chuckled softly.

He grinned. "I blame the estrogen."

"As if men make that much more sense?" the blond said with an arched eyebrow at him, though still smiling now that the brief moment of worry had passed.

He laughed. "Now, I didn't claim that at all."

"Mmmm... I bet you were tempted for a second though" Teddy laughed, her feet swiftly moving to avoid a crack in the concrete without her mind really realizing that that's what it was doing.

He shook his head with another laugh. "Not even close. I don't understand men, either. It's why I'm not gay."

And at that she laughed again, a bright smile upon her lips as she walked with a light step and bit her lip with a grin at him.
"I'm very -very- happy you're not gay"

He started to chuckle. "It would make this whole thing awkward, wouldn't it?"

"Just a tiiiiiny little bit" she laughed. "That and I would've been so utterly disappointed..." Teddy added with another chuckle, lifting her hand to briefly touch her fingers to his cheek in an affectionate gesture.

His head tilted to the touch of her fingertips. With a grin, he leaned close enough to brush his lips over hers. "Well, then, thank God I'm not."

She returned the kiss and, before he could pull back again, nipped at his lip with a playful chuckle.
"Oh I think I'm thanking him plenty" the blond grinned. She did, after all, tend to call to the higher powers a lot when with Medwyn... *Coughs*

He started to laugh, returning the nip with a light scrape of his teeth against her lip. "You give me entirely too much credit, Teddy. I'm only good enough for a few calls out to Jesus."

"Quite frankly" she chuckled, bright blue eyes smiling happily up at him. "I get to be the judge of that. And there's no doubt in my mind as to how you make me feel" no doubt what so ever.

He laughed. "I'm just going to hope it's good and leave it at that."

She bumped her hip against his with a sideways smile up at him.
"Oh it's good..." she chuckled happily as she bit her lip and stretched her neck a little. Very good in fact.

He returned her hip-bump with one of his own. "You're biased."

"I'm honest" came the simple answer as she winked at him. "And you do feel good..."
