Marvin's Meeting (Inner Court/Marvin/Raz0r) - The Bored Room

Ethan turned to Raz0r. "I never got a straight answer from meat-boy... did he actually create the thing and hand it over to the Tremere?"

"Not as far as I know, no. And he handed me the plans."

She shook her head.

"He only told me about plans for it, didn't say he had built it yet."

Ethan pinched the bridge of his nose. "Dammit... We need to know if they have it. If so, it has to be retrieved."

He turned back to Jamie. "Sir, last I heard, ElectroMagnetic Pulse devices can be considered weapons of mass destruction by the Federal government... a confirmed use of one will likely bring Feds swarming into the area and the last thing we need is Federal agents combing for where the pulse came from."

He glanced at the lump of meat and back to Jamie. "Should we unstake him and ask him for a definitive answer?"

He held up his hand, his index finger extended. Two quick strides across the room so he could level a fairly good kick right to Marvin's buttocks.

Then he stepped back and folded his hands behind his back.

"Aye. It's likely th' best option."

"Or......."

She paused for a moment.

"Nope, he didn't build it."

She blinked, then shook her head.

"Fucking Malkavians."

Ethan had only just barely twitched a muscle to begin bending over to the Malkavian when she spoke.

He turned to look at her curious when she spoke again. His jaw clenched in what appeared to be anger. "Dammit Raz0r, you know that's risky with Lunatics..." he shook his head and righted his back the fraction of an inch to where it was and turned back to Jamie. "So... I believe it's now up to you to deal with the lump's Revered status and the issue of the Tremere contracting for an EMP.... sir." His tone implied he didn't like the situation any more than Jamie did.

She grinned at him.

"I'd rather risk that than have him unstaked, boss. Also, all's well. His head is just a weird place to be."

He looked thoughtful and then raised a hand for a moment.

"First an' foremost, could one of ye please call for Harpy Bella, please? I'd like her here t' witness this."

Ethan pulled out his cellphone, searched for a contact and started typing, then put it away.

"I've sent her a message asking her to see us here as swiftly as possible at your request, sir."

Bella rushed in soon after, her gaze doing a quick scan about the room as she offered all present a warm smile. "Good evening."

He turned to look at Bella as she entered.

"Good evenin', lass. I've a bit of Harpy business for ye."

"What's up?" Came the usually peppy response, though she eyed Marvin's staked body with reserved annoyance.

He frowned.

"Your clanmate is a wee bit of a fool, lass. An' by his recent actions, I'd say tha' he is no acting much as a Revered Kindred should. Bein' tha' Primogen Mercy decided tha' she saw him as such an' he came in here to act in such a fashion as to show tha' he's quite th' opposite, I no longer find Marvin, an' by virtue of th' loan, Mercy, as Revered."

Of course, that left the Malkavians without a Primogen, but that wasn't his problem at all.

She brought a hand up, pinching the bridge of her nose. Under her breath in an old language, she cursed.

"I see... Seeing how Mr. Johnson has gone, Marvin and Mercy are obviously incapable, and I am Harpy, who would you see as Primogen? There is Ms. Devereaux, who I have barely seen in my time in the city, and Ms. Darque - a fairly new arrival to your city, but certainly capable."

He seemed to think on that one.

"Miss Darque is th' more stable of the two, I should think. But I'll accept either of them. Miss Devereaux's proven herself t' be worth listening to."

She sighed a bit, glancing at Marvin's body. "May I be so bold as to ask what my dear clanmate dis this time?"

He smiled.

"Makin' a sort of doomsday device t' hand over to th' Tremere an' likely causing th' Feds to come down on us all."

She snorted and mumbled under her breath.

"Finally proving to everyone else how much of a moron he is."

She pointed to Raz0r.

What she said.

Ethan just stood there, glaring at the moron a few steps away from him.

She just shook her head.

"Highness, what would ye like us t' do wi' th' crazy one?"

He looked at Grace.

"Still debatin' tha' one. Startin' wi' th' change in status, though."

Ethan glanced up to Jamie under his brow, keeping Marvin in his eyesight... you just never knew with Lunatics. "Sir, when we can speak privately, I have a suggestion."
