He snorted, "Ah'm ah Huntah. One day, weh all get caught. Ain't no guard, cause it don't go down." pause.

"Save wid ya."

"Den sumptin'appens. Com'on now, ah've pissed off ahn kill'd 'ow many?"

"Ah'd beh more scared ah ya, den'er."

"Glad you think so."

He tapped her nose. "Ah know so. Ah've seen ya fight."

"He might be faking being bad."

"Could beh. Den 'gain, ah don't even know all ya can do."

He smiled. "Duckie." he put a hand over her heart.

"Ya got me." he reminded her.

"Ain't any more nor less den whatcha do fah meh."

"At least we have that."

"Ain't least at all. Kinda ah big deal."

"Ah ain't dat easy teh kill, Duckie. No need teh worry."

She was skilled at confusing him, it seemed. He tilted his head, narrowing his eyes at the waif.

"I used to feel invincible. Even before my Embrace. I used to feel like nothing could stop me. I'm not so sure anymore."

"Feelin'ah 'ad mahself. Seen ah few tings ah juss don't undahstand. Strange world, c'est vrai." he rubbed his jaw with the scar along the back of his right hand. "When ah found mah true Beast... ah become... beddah. Ya juss gotta find out who ya beh."
