Hotel room (Greer, location elsewhere) - The White Tower

"So what can I do to help?" with a nod at him.

"Keep me company for a bit? Tell me how you've been doing, what you've been up to? I've been a horrible friend Greer, I'd like a chance to make amends somehow so... really, it is I who should be asking you what I can do for you.." Charlie said with a gentle, somewhat apologetic smile at her.

"I've been great. Pretty low key and playing my piano and working on a project with Cass." with a smile at him "I am really low maintenance friend."

"That doesn't mean you can be neglected though" he smiled, though he was still on his back on the sofa. Moving seemed to be too much of a chore really. "Once things calm down again, maybe you'd be up for giving me some more lessons? I'd really love that... and I still owe you language lessons"

"I would love to continue the language lessons and I am always happy to teach you piano." with a grin "and you want me to get my guitar and sing a bit for you."

"That would be wonderful, Greer..." he drew an unneeded breath and smiled. "Thank you"

Greer moves over to here case, pulls it out, then sits back on the couch tunes the guitar "Any requests?" with a smile at him.

"I like it when you surprise me" Charlie said. "So please? surprise me?"

She nodded and started to play. Her voice in it's own way seeming to harmonize in such a way that really shouldn't be possible.

And the youth? He really couldn't help but smile as his eyes drifted shut, simply listening to her voice and her playing and allowing himself to relax if only for a little while.
Happiness came in small doses, someone once said. Well, it was alright. Because those small doses were all well worth it. specially when as beautiful as that...

She flowed into the next song and then flowing into the next song. Then looking at him "Better?"

The youth wasn't a Rose, meaning that while he did seemed somewhat entranced by her music and her voice, he was still conscious enough to truly enjoy it. And it did seem to make him feel a little better, at least if the smile now resting across his lips as he listened with his eyes closed was anything to go by.
"Much..." he whispered. "Thank you..."

Leaning over and chastely kissing his forehead "I am going to let you rest. If you need me call." and started to put her guitar away.

"Mm, no .. sorry" he blinked, pushing himself up to sit upright. "You're welcome to stay for as long as you wish. Your company's always appreciated you know. Even if I'm a shit host" he added with an apologetic chuckle.

"You look like you'll actually get some rest and maybe that headache's not as bad? Enjoy it and we'll talk again soon." with a gentle smile at Charlie. Closing the guitar case, looking at him again "Really rest and we'll talk soon."

He wanted to protest, or at least say something that would make her stay. Inevitably though, he reached out to cup her cheek and leaned forward to place a brotherly kiss on her forehead with a whisper.
"Thank you Greer..." he smiled with a sigh. "I hope I can repay you all this kindness sometime..."

"You have and will." with a gentle touch of his face back "Rest and I hope things look better soon." And with that she turned to leave sending a brief text message and then left the way she came.

He watched her leave, biting his lip for a moment before running his fingers through his hair again and falling back onto the couch.
At least he was able to relax a little... he'd need that for later no doubt..
