Home again (Bella) Cont 10/31 - Bella's Castle; The West Wing

Robert opened the door to the house for Bella.

"Home!"

She giggled as she followed him in, "Home! Wow, we can own this town. Are we in Florida or Arkansas?"

"No kidding.". He closed the door behind him, and took her hand in his, "I have no idea how you've survived this dreadful place.". He laughed.

"I'm a trooper." Bella swooned some, sinking against a wall. "A real tough cookie. The cat's meow. Tough as nails."

He laughed, sliding down beside her, his arm wrapping over her shoulder.

"You are at that. So how is Chase doing? I saw him at the party.". He smirked, an amused look on his face.

"Oh, you know. Everything is the end of the world, blah blah blah.. Drama Queen, you know."

"So same old same old." He sighs, "Trust it to the elder to remain consistent, for good and bad."

"Duh, us kids have all the fun." She joked, nudging him gently with her elbow.

"Damn right!" He laughed happily.

It died off quickly though, "I still.dislike him though, I'm not sure if I can ever trust him again."

He frowned.

She laughed in a quiet, bitter sort of way. "Yeah.. me neither."

"What'd he do this time?". Robert sighs, a hint of frustration in his voice.

"He said you would be here.." She whispered, her voice dropping suddenly, "He never, ever listens to anything I say, ever. In his eyes, I'm still a child to be watched over."

Robert rolls his eyes and shakes his head, "When will he learn, he is not all knowing or all powerful. You and I have strengths and weaknesses, many of which compliment the other in wondrous ways."

"No, we aren't perfect, but he certainly isn't either."

"No shit, Sherlock." She teased, hugging onto him gently. "Let's get to bed, mm?"

He laughs playfully as he stands and picks her up in his arms, "Yes milady!"

He leans down and kisses her carrying her to bed.
