Late Night Scout - The Den

He smiled. "Up ta you, babe. I can give him blood just as easily as you can."

"You should." with a nod to him and a passionate kiss.

He nodded. Then he smiled and stood up. "I think I could use a glass of wine. You two want any?"

"Oh do we have any of that red left I like?" with a sublime smile at him.

He nodded. "Pretty sure. Want one, Tyler?" He waited for the mortal to nod in agreement before making his way into the kitchen.

Greer reached for the mortal, gently pulling him to her, and kissing him softly. Then leaned back as Jim entered with the wine.

He actually handed the glass in his left hand to Tyler. He gave one from the two glasses in his right hand to Greer with a wink. He kissed the top of Tyler's head and then moved to get a kiss from Greer. Just so he could whisper quietly to her again. "Yours is actually wine."

She kissed him back, with a barely there nod, "So what do you do again Tyler?" leaning into Jim.

"I'm a forensic anthropologist." He glanced down and took a sip of the wine in his hand, giving the glass an odd look.

Greer looked at him "And there is a calling for that here?" curiously looked taking a drink of her wine with no issue.

Tyler nodded. "Yeah. At the museum."

"Full time or temporary work?" truly interested in his words and watching him.

He laughed. "Right now it's part-time. Once the season hits again, though and school goes back in session after the holidays, it'll pick up to full-time again."

"Season hits?" leaning towards him "Humor me and explain it to me please." taking another sip of her wine. Tucking the white strand behind her ear.

Jim sat back and propped up his feet. He was watching the human and Greer with a smile. Tyler took another sip of his wine, then looked at her. "Well, most of the time, in the winter, you get the snowbirds. Bunch of people coming down from up north. That plus the kids going back to school after the holidays but still in the winter, means we've got more tours and stuff that go through the museum."

"Number one attraction?" with a grin at him. Resting a hand on Jim as she listens to Tyler speak.

He laughed. "Not really. But the schools love us."

"what do they all want to see?" looking at him curious what was actually in the musuem.

"Well if I was 5, 15, 25 or 75." with a laugh and another drink of the wine.

"So which Department do you prefer to work in? And why?" still watching him intently. Not realizing that she can actually be intense.

He took another drink from the glass. "None of the above. I work in the back, identifying human remains. Or animal ones, depending."

"Wouldn't the police do that." yeah she's curious now and not always a good thing.

He shook his head. "The police aren't equipped for it. They bring them to us to identify."
