What the....? - Marvin's Haven

He shrugged and sat his glass down on a side table.

"Might as well, otherwise, what is the point of being angry? It's just another bit of random in a rather wild universe. Take my word for it, a man in a clown suit for two weeks is nothing compared to some of the things out there."

He still hadn't taken a sip of the glass, alert eyes on the other man at all times although the youth's body language remained relaxed. Instead he moved his hand slowly so to cause the red liquid to swirl around in its container.

"That is true as well" Charlie smiled at him.

"It wont' bond you, if that's what you are worried about Charlie. I can assure you of that, although you might still not trust me. But I have no reason to bond you, and I have other ways of controlling you if I really wanted to. Drink up, it's good for you."

"Control me hm?" he let his eyes briefly stray from the man to the glass in his hand. "I think you might be getting ahead of yourself again" he said with a smirk as he moved his elbow off the back of the sofa, dipping the tip of his middle finger into the red liquid before moving it between his lips as he looked up at Marvin again.
"We already talked about restraint didn't we?"

"Nope. Just pointing out blood bonds through the offer of a hospitable drink are in poor taste if nothing else, and stupidly obvious. I'm sure you have any number of ways you could attempt to control me. I like to keep things open, a free flow of information."

The youth licked at his fingers again, making sure there wasn't as much of a drop left to stain his nails before resting his finger to his lips as he looked at Marvin.
"Different means than your ways I'm sure" he smiled sweetly. "I'm not big on forced control" or well, not completely true. It simply depended on the situation.

"It is boring, and a method of last resort. "

Marvin picked up his glass and drained it before setting it down.

"What I'm trying to decide is what measure of trust should exist between the two of us."

"Trust?" he lifted the glass to his lips, sipping at it while still looking at the Malkavian in the rodeo clown costume. "Oh I'd say I trust you about as far as I can throw you"

"You are Brujah, that could be quite far." he chuckled

"And how far should I trust you? I think I could throw you quite far myself."

Charlie let out a soft chuckle, leaning forward to place the glass down on the table.
"It's about more than just the strength. Who's to say you'd even be able to get your hands on me to throw me in the first place?"

Marvin smiled "Ahh well then there is that, I suppose that could be a challenge."

After he finished speaking, he suddenly struck and held Charlie's hands in his iron grip.

"Or not..."

By the time Marvin had the youth's hands pinned, Charlie had a boot clad foot planted on his chest, keeping some kind of distance between the two of them Someone was apparently as nimble as they seemed.
"Playing with fire..." he smirked, though his teeth were grit behind those pale lips of his as he flexed his fingers and tested the man's strength with a slight push that seemed almost half hearted taken into consideration the youth was Brujah.
"I'd be careful if I was you..." and while his voice was soft, something about that sounded like a proper threat.

Marvin laughed and let go of Charlie. "Well, you do have the reflexes of a cat. Someday we really must spar, it would be fascinating. "

Paranoid Brujah kept his eyes fixed on Marvin even as he let go, the foot still against the man's chest until he decided to pull back.
"Wouldn't want to break you" Charlie smirked confidently.

He sat back down. "Takes a lot to break me pretty boy. How about fencing? Strip fencing to make it interesting."

"Just because I look soft, doesn't mean I am" he put his foot back down on the floor, head tilted slightly to the side. "And I somehow doubt you'd take me if given a blade..." Charlie smirked again, something predatory showing in his eyes for a brief moment.
"If I wanted to it wouldn't be hard to get you out of those clothes anyways.."

"I was one of the best fencers in my age group when I was in college. Even made it to Olympic trials. Probably would have gone all the way if I had cared enough. And quite frankly I'll get out of my clothes pretty quickly for the right person. It's getting the other one out of theirs. But let's leave clothes on. I think even if I cant' best you, I'd surprise you with my fencing skills."

Something glimmered in his eyes. Something triggering in the youth even though it was barely visible.
"Don't complain if you get cut then..." that sounded like a yes.

"I've only a foil, so either we both use one, or you provide the live blades there handsome. Pick a time and place after I'm free of this outfit then."

"What?" the youth tilted his head to the side with a lingering grin across his pale lips. "I have to wait to cut you down to size?"

"Mmmm.... the harpy did say I had to wear this on day to day business. Perhaps I should ask him for a clarification. But where did you want to do this anyway?"

Charlie looked around the place before pinnign his eyes in the Malkavian again.
"Here? I'm not going to trash my hotel room over this, that's for sure" he smirked. "That and I'd love to wreck some havoc with your neat tidy lines"
Oh yes he would.

"Not enough room in here. Perhaps the ballroom in Elysium? It's just a friendly sparring match with dummy weapons, so I don't think that would cause any problems."

"Heh... no deal then" he reached for his glass again and lifted it to his lips.

"How about the woods then?"
