She raised her eyebrow at him.

"Ye'd be amazed wha' an Elder can come up wi' t' fix just 'bout anythin'."

He sighed. "Here's tha problem with that. I get tha feelin' she's not gettin' much attention here. She seems all sad 'bout it, an' I know several people are avoidin' her like tha plague."

She sighed.

"Tha' does add t' th' problem. But tis still no excuse for her using her powers on ye wi' out ye're permission."

He shook his head. "If ya ask her, I did give her permission, mama."

She snorted.

"Mayhap, but I still be offended."

He snorted. "Well, that's true. Ya have ovaries, ya can pretty much be offended by anythin' ya feel like."

She laughed.

"Exactly."

He laughed. "I need ta get over Griselda. When ya boil it down, it's my problem, not hers."

She smiled.

"Will continuing t' sleep wi' Greer help or hinder tha'?"

He tilted his head. "I honest ta God don't know, mama."

She started combing her fingers through his hair again.

"Well, if ye decide t' try an' nay sleep wi' her, an' she get's pushy, just call, an' the bitchy Elder girlfriend will be right there t' help ye."

He laughed. "I should be happy that tha biggest problem I got is whether or not ta sleep with a woman."

She chuckled.

"Aye, ye should be."

He laughed. "I am. Most of tha time." He went quiet. "I still go ta where she died sometimes. They've planted a purty tree an' some flowers there for her."
